HIKES AND BIKES AND BIOLOGY SOMETIMES

Twin Lakes

Cold rain is cold

A chilly, rainy day sandwiched between a couple of 80°+ days made it seem chillier than it would have otherwise.

Generally it’s a good idea to bring a rain jacket on a hike in Oregon, especially if it’s raining when you leave the house. I forgot mine and decided to just tough it out. If I got cold, I could always run back to the car.

It didn’t make for the most pleasant experience, but it was better than skipping a week and the landscape was pretty nice.

I only recently discovered this area so we’ll be back again to explore more. It’s also popular so we might have to wait until the rain starts up to avoid the crowds.
