Don’t forget to pack a lunch…
Hm, what to say.
Silver Falls State Park, really scenic, often crowded, and a little bit too much trash lying around. A warm (54°) winter Tuesday and we couldn’t figure out where to go so we headed down to Silver Falls.
We chose the longer “Trail of Ten Falls” loop. If you could ignore the crowds and “hand of man” everywhere, it’s a really nice canyon with awesome creeks.
I think once every ten years or so is a good frequency to visit there, so I’m good for a while. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice park/hike, but winter weekdays are the only time I’ll ever show up here. Maybe it’s a good place to take the visiting relatives.
I don’t generally photograph waterfalls (something to do with non-conformity), but on the Trail of Ten Falls, I’m not sure I’d be getting the point if I didn’t.
We brought enough snacks so we didn’t suffer too much, but really, when the lunch is made and sitting on the table, it’s best to not forget it.
