Let’s Go To Coyote Wall She Said, It’ll Be Fun She Said
If anyone’s paying attention, we’ve had a really wet winter here in Oregon. Last year at about this time we came out here for a change of scenery. Lowland forest hikes are great, but living in Oregon, we get really easily bored with super spectacular hikes and sometimes need a different version of super spectacular to keep things exciting.
This area is great. It’s usually hiked (and mountain biked) in the spring, while the wildflowers are blooming and before it gets too hot. Being across the river from Hood River, it tends to be windy, this day was no exception. There are plenty of places to take shelter from the wind though, and if the sun is shining, it’ll help keep you warm.
We took a couple of weeks off due to work, rain, and general lassitude and I think Kate had a hard time on the hills because of this. It was fun, but maybe it was type 2 fun for one of us.
