HIKES AND BIKES AND BIOLOGY SOMETIMES

University Falls Fails

Ok, it wasn’t that bad, but it wasn’t that good. It is our longest hike yet though.

I knew going into this that it might be a bit noisy. ATVs, dirt bikes, mountain bikes, firewood collectors, target shooters, and logging.

We got all of those. The trail actually passed within 100 meters of an active logging site and the road we had to walk cut right through it. The hike ends on a muddy gravel road that encircles a DOT gravel shed. So far the ugliest end to a hike yet.

We also got really cold, I think 38° F at one point.
