HIKES AND BIKES AND BIOLOGY SOMETIMES

Tillamook Head – Finally

We’ve wanted to do this hike for about 10 years.

We’ve been up parts of this trail a few times over the years, once in the early 2000s to look for some eagle nests and a few more times after that. It’s been strangely hanging over our heads and it’s a relief to finally finish it. The uphill section seemed pretty hard in the past, but as we hike more, it’s not so bad now. It was still hard for us and seemed long, but I’m guessing that it’ll be easier next time.

There are some pretty large spruce trees up there and a lot of great ocean vistas.
