Election Day
We decided to get out of dodge and get into the wilderness.
Another late-start hike had us feeling rushed. There are some surprisingly steep parts in this hike but nothing that an average person couldn’t do.
It’s hard not to feel rushed when you are hiking into the darkness and I wish I could figure out how to shake that feeling. Once it did get dark, we settled in and took our time. The stars, half moon, wisps of cloud, unusually warm weather, and barred owl calling all made for a rather nice ending.
The next trip to Trapper Creek Wilderness will be from the bottom end, but with it being such a small and close wilderness area, I can’t see that we won’t eventually get to see all the trails here.
