HIKES AND BIKES AND BIOLOGY SOMETIMES

Falls Creek Falls

No, nobody fell, that’s the name of the trail.

We knew very little about this hike other than that the road was gated and that we would be walking a road for a bit. No biggie.

This hike covers just about everything, canyons, big trees, cliffs, big views, white water on the main channel, and magical little tributaries. As you get further upstream, the scenery gets better and better until you reach the falls at the end of this trail. We knew there was a waterfall and we knew it was big, but we just didn’t expect it to be quite like it turned out.

There are other trails that split off here and I’d like to go exploring a bit more someday when the gate is open and the weather is warmer.
