Kunamakst is the name of a creek that I worked near when I first began working in wildlife biology. I have to assume it’s a native word and I have no idea what it means. It’s apparently Chinook for “together”. It’s spelled Kʰunamokwst and Kunamokst also. I saw it on our maps every day and it became one of those words that gets stuck in my head. I hold the place dear.
All photos are taken with an iPhone 6, 6S, 7+, X, XS Max, 11Pro Max, or 12 Pro Max (sheesh). I’ll add some notes on iPhone software/hardware I use.
